The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is launching a major digital makeover in February 2026, and we are excited about the benefits this will bring to you!  The state is upgrading its entire system, including the public e-services platform, myDMV, to offer everyone a much simpler, faster, and more secure experience.  The statewide transition will happen in February 2026.

This upgrade is set to revolutionize the way customers handle their driver and vehicle needs.  Once the new system is fully implemented, Coloradans can expect a new option for a streamlined user experience complete with a secure, logged-in customer portal that offers a dashboard for managing vehicles, licenses, and personal information as well as correspondence with the DMV, with unprecedented ease.

The DRIVES Upgrade, is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.  This is a massive leap forward for our motor vehicle infrastructure. Office scheduling is essential to making this transition a success.  As we are preparing for this important transition, we want to draw your attention to office scheduling that will help minimize disruptions during the upgrade and as the new system comes online.
